Who we are
Lioncrest Online Academy was founded by a husband-and-wife team whose lives have been shaped by faith, service, and a deep commitment to transformational education. Josh and Jess Komanapalli have constantly been trying to be obedient to following Jesus in their lives and serving others.

For nearly 15 years, they have lived and served in India, building and operating Christian schools that bring high-quality, values-driven education to communities that often have limited access to strong academic institutions. From this work, Lioncrest emerged as their flagship model — a school built not only to educate, but to form character, leadership, and purpose.

Their journey is not merely professional — it is deeply personal, sacrificial, and rooted in a generational calling.
Meet the Founders
Joshua Komanapalli carries a clear and compelling vision: to raise leaders and provide excellent education to underserved families — especially where opportunity is limited or inaccessible. He believes education should form the whole person — intellectually, spiritually, and morally — and that every child deserves access to environments that cultivate purpose and leadership. He has many years of experience building communities that foster leadership in Healthcare, Education, and the Church.

Jessica Komanapalli, Academic Director of Lioncrest, brings both academic expertise and hands-on leadership to the mission. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Southeastern University and has eight years of experience in education. From designing academic systems to shaping curriculum and faculty culture, Jessica has been instrumental in building Lioncrest from the ground up.
Together, Josh and Jessica have not only founded schools — they have also planted a church, discipling families and serving communities holistically through both education and ministry.

They are pioneers in Christian Education and now see the future of their mission expanding through online learning — providing an alternative to what they believe is often an environment of declining academic rigor and cultural formation within many U.S. educational settings. Lioncrest Online Academy is their response: academically strong, spiritually grounded, and globally accessible.

Josh and Jess are parents to three daughters — Grace, Bella, and Hannah — who have been educated within Lioncrest themselves. Their children’s strong academic outcomes and continued educational success reflect the effectiveness of the very system their parents built.
For the Komanapallis, Lioncrest is not just a school they lead — it is the environment in which their own family has lived, learned, and grew.
Their work is driven by conviction, sustained by faith, and proven through lived experience.
Looking Forward
Josh and Jess believe the future of education must be both globally accessible and spiritually grounded. Through Lioncrest Online Academy, based out of the United States, they are extending decades of educational and ministry experience into a new era — creating a kingdom-cultured community to equip students with academic excellence, moral clarity, and leadership vision wherever they live.
